To improve the situation described in bug 507935, the price column is currently displayed in the following cases:

1. More than one currency is used
2. File and conversion rates are available
3. A report has “Convert to base currency” enabled

Based on reports, there appear to be individual cases where this restriction is not relevant or seems undesirable.

Currently, the following is conceivable: 
1. If a report only uses accounts in the base currency for transactions and splits

Probably not:
1. Reports that only use accounts in a single currency, but not the base currency  

In both cases, it is possible to disable conversion to the base currency, but a problem has been reported that affects the report layout due to the lack of use of the short form of the corresponding currency (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502604#c6).
