To do a transfer, you select the other account in the Category drop-down. Behind the scenes, KMyMoney treats Categories as a special type of Account, so that dropdown is really an Account selection. Chosing a Category gives you a typical deposit/withdrawal, selecting an Asset or Liability Account gives you a transfer. Please confirm this works for you.
