After some more digging in multiple EXIF tools, it looks like my files effectively got corrupted at some point and is not a problem with the software. |
Created attachment 183474 [details] One of many file showing the problem SUMMARY When going to the Captions pane, the Captions textbox presents garbage binary data while the caption should be empty. I tried looking at the same picture in the old Windows Live Photo Gallery application and Windows Properties window and both have nothing of the sort. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Index the picture in digiKam 2.
