Have you manually configured the desktop to show the contents of /home/$USER/workingspace? If not, then the behavior you're seeing is intentional. It might help if you attached a screen recording that showed the problem happening. Hello Nate I didn't realize you could configure this manually. I just worked with the default settings and noticed this behavior. In this case it is not a bug, but a feature :-) I'll now go looking and see where in the settings I can influence this behavior. Thanks for the info and KDE is an absolutely fantastic project! And when you create a file in there in Dolphin, it doesn't appear on the desktop in Plasma?
