Thank you for reporting. I think it’s not proper described. I think it should written as: "move the timeline cursor to the desired position (i.e. the position where you want to cut the video), then move the mouse over the left border of Billard.avi, left click and drag the left border of the clip to the right when the resize marker appears. The left border snaps at the timeline cursor." I think that may still be wrong, -- the instructions describe loading the first 2 clips into the V2 line and then loading the Billiard.avi clip into V1. The timeline cursor does not seem to attach to the V1 line when following these instructions I think that may still be wrong, -- the instructions describe loading the first 2 clips into the V2 line and then loading the Billiard.avi clip into V1. Mmh. I read your sentences more than twice.
What do you mean by “loading the Billard.avi into V1”? Do you mean: drag and drop Billard.avi from the project bin into the timeline?
What do you mean by “The timeline cursor does not seem to attach to the V1 line”? Do you mean: the playhaed doesn’t move to the clip automatically?
I attached a short screencast to show how it should work.
