SUMMARY
In Dolphin 24.12.2, when zooming, one of the zoom change make linked files (soft link) with generated thumbnail to have less zoomed thumbnails (and overlay emblem) than before zoom. Other type of file (not soft link or without generated thumbnail like empty folder) are zoomed consistently.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin 24.12.2 or higher in a folder with a folder that has a link to file (and maybe a regular file).
2. Unzoom. Then zoom and see if for one of the zoom change, thumbnails of link-file and their overlay become less zoomed (and other type of file keeps behaving normally)

OBSERVED RESULT
When crossing the threshold in a zoom, those thumbnails and their overlay are becoming smaller instead of bigger.
When crossing the threshold in a unzoom , those thumbnails and their overlay are becoming bigger instead of smaller.
Empty folder (that don't have a generation of thumbnails) and non link file are not affected.

EXPECTED RESULT
Every file, soft link or not, with generated thumbnail or not, should become bigger when zooming in and smaller when zooming out for every step of zoom.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This bug came with Dolphin 24.12.2 and is probably related to the patch submitted in bug 497372 and/or bug 498211 (both related to thumbnails overlays).
Before that version, zoom levels were more inconsistent on overlay icons of thumbnails but I think they were consistent for size of generated thumbnails (other than overlay).

I don't know if I should open a new bug report about soft link with generated thumbnails to always have a smaller thumbnails than non-link generated thumbnails even under the zoom threshold or if I should consider this to be included in this bug report (which for now is focusing on the behavior around the threshold).

It is also possible to consider that the mention of overlays of thumbnail (which starts to not having not the same size between those two type of file above the threshold) is the continuation of bug 498211 (about overlays difference between files) or of bug 497372 (about overlays not having coherent size between zoom). If overlays should be treated as separate bug (probably continuation of bug) than the rest of thumbnail, consider this bug to be about thumbnail regardless of their overlays.

This behavior is already showed in attachment 178642 [details]. If asked I can add a new video to the bug report and it could have in it the two type of case instead of just the affected one.
