Description Guido 2025-02-07 21:27:40 UTC
SUMMARY
In many cases the profiles detected with edid are bad and make the situation worse and there is no alternative unless you have a device to calibrate the monitor manually. kcm_colord should give you the option of not applying any profiles.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect a monitor with a faulty icc from edid
2. See that colord makes things worse
3. Try to disable the profile

OBSERVED RESULT
The profile cant be disabled

EXPECTED RESULT
The user should be allowed to do not apply the profile

Moving this feature request to the wishlist priority.

kcolord is now unmaintained, color management has moved to kwin as part of wayland.
