SUMMARY
Desktop files with a dot in their name created by the KDE Menu Editor have their filename cut off after the dot. I found another bug report that may be related: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135495

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a "new item" with KDE Menu Editor
2. Name it one.two
3. Save it
4. Open ~/.local/share/applications

OBSERVED RESULT
The created file is named one.desktop

EXPECTED RESULT
The file would named one.two.desktop
