SUMMARY
Before deleting thumbnails out of the database check if a copy of the corresponding images exists in another folder. If yes, do not delete the thumbnails and only update internal links if required.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a collection of processed images
2. Move images from a folder to another one without digiKam
3. Scan the folder to which the images have been moved (Import into database)
4. Scan the folder where the images were previously located.

OBSERVED RESULT
Metadata still exists but thumbnails have to be recreated


EXPECTED RESULT
Metadata and thumbnails still exist
