SUMMARY
If you try to edit a message after already having edited it, the message's text is omitted and you only get the "Okay" tick along with the "Cancel" X. When closing the program and starting it again, one can again edit the respective message. Once. After that, it's the same.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Send some message
2. Edit it
3. Edit it again

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

I just noticed that actually, editing doesn't work at all … in case this is another issue, I filed an additional bug report about this, cf. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=498224

Hi - merging this one under the existing report for this issue. It looks like you were still on 24.08.3 when you encountered this, and the fix was first deployed in version 24.12.0.

Thanks!
