(In reply to jojo66 from comment #0) > Each time an application is updated by snap, the application icon disappears > from the KDE dashboard, but the graphical component is still there. A manual > update of the icon is systematically required (seen with firefox and > cherryTree installed by snap). > Best Regards Does this happen in the Kickoff or Kicker launchers as well? How about if the app is pinned to the Task Manager? What Plasma version are you using? => Does this happen in the Kickoff or Kicker launchers as well? NO => How about if the app is pinned to the Task Manager? SNAP updates only if the application is not in use. If I launch the application after it has been updated, the icon appears in the task manager, whereas the icon has disappeared from the KDE dashboard => What Plasma version are you using? KDE Plasma : 5.27.11 KUBUNTU 24.04.1 But this problem already existed with KUBUNTU 22.04 LTS. Created attachment 175555 [details]

I'm seeing this bug again today after SNAP updated Thunderbird.
Does it still happen in Plasma 6? If it does, does the issue go away if you run `kbuildsycoca6` in a terminal window? ๐๐งน โ ๏ธ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
