I completely disagree. Who says that "striscioni" only refers to physical banners? Do you really think that leaving certain terms untranslated improves the quality of a translation? While we might both understand the meaning of the English word "banner", there's no guarantee that every Italian user will. I agree it is more specific than these common words, but it seems like we do not have a proper translation for it, just like "browser".
