Hi, 1/ Root album collapses side effect is confirmed. 2/ Copy/move to the root isnt permitted => normal behavior. Gilles Caulier Yes, but it is possible that the root album is collapsed and you want to expand it when copying to a sub-album. This behavior is then desired. Such things always have two sides and for me it is not a bug. Maik There is no reason the core root 'Albums' folder should ever be fully collapsed. In that state, you have no indication there are sub-folders. That is both inconsistent with the conventions for effectively all tree-based applications, and within Digikam itself. Im not talking about the root content folder, to which you can actually copy/move to/from. Im talking about the parent root node. That cannot be collapsed via a mouse click (right click etc)- only by a drag-over/hold. This is again inconsistent with convention and with Digikam itself. A right click on any normal node shows window with options like expand/collapse tree. Not the root node- it behaves inconsistently, The album root node does not have a context menu, but can actually be expanded and collapsed with a double click. Maik Hi, The 8.7.0 pre-release Windows installer from today have been rebuilt from scratch with Qt 6.8.3, KDE 6.12, OpenCV 4.11 + CUDA support, Exiv2 0.28.5, ExifTool 13.27, ffmpeg 7, all image codecs updated to last version (jxl, avif, heif, aom, etc.). Please try with this version to see if your problem still reproducible... https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Best regards Gilles Caulier |
