Sentry Crash Report:

Description Martin 2024-10-17 14:10:15 UTC
SUMMARY
When an unmounted drive is accessed in Dolphin, Dolphin's entire UI freezes while the mounting happens

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have an external USB HDD connected, where this is the most noticeable
2. Click on it in Devices tab in Dolphin, this will start mounting it
3. Dolphin freezes for about 5-10 seconds on my system

OBSERVED RESULT
Dolphin freezes

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin does not freeze and ideally some load indicator is added instead of the frozen thread.
I wish to be able to click away, sometimes I mount the wrong drive by accident and I have to wait to actually open the thing I need.

This looks like part of the overall issue of Dolphin freezing when a resource is unavailable. I'm going to merge this report with bug 423187, which is older. Please follow that report for updates. Thanks!
