Description Fernando M. Muniz 2024-10-13 18:43:38 UTC
Changing the scaling at the monitor settings causes the desktop files/folders to change their positions in situations in which they shouldn't because the organized area in the grid is smaller than the scaled area.

Ex: You make an small heart-shaped form with files and folders, then increase or even decrease the scaling, and the files/folders will still change places.

The desktop should keep its organization of the grid until it's no longer possible due to extreme scaling.

The issue depicted in the screen recording is mostly fixed by https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/4791, which then leaves us with Bug 453314. Marking this as a duplicate of it.
