I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. What version of krita is it? So as soon as you double clicked the file it just disappeared? Also, if you have windows, is ransomware protection turned on? It can tell apps that things don't exist. Sorry, but this is impossible to investigate. There can be all kinds of reasons why files can disappear on Windows, from malicious software capturing to sychronized drives like google drive malfunctioning. Please provide * a full screenshot of the entire screen instead of a small cut-out * a screenshot of Windows exploring showing the full contents of the folder where you saved the image * the contents of help->system information for bug reports * the contents of help->krita system log for bug reports. 🐛🧹 ⚠️ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Make an artwork and the whole day making it 2. save it 3. open the file and it will tell you that the file doesn't exist or something. OBSERVED RESULT: the file deleted itself when I tried to open the file EXPECTED RESULT: You won't be able to open the artworks you spent hours making SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 11 macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please fix this, if Krita does this again, I'm telling the world that Krita is the worst free art app in existence.
