Update on STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Wait for screen to turn off 2. After screen is off, wait 10 seconds 3. Turn on the screen by clicking any button on the keyboard 4. Change brightness from Panel Does it always fail, or sometimes fail? If it's sometimes, this is very likely Bug 482713. If it always fails, then we need some more information: - How is the monitor connected? - Has changing screen brightness via Plasma ever worked? - Can you paste the output of `kscreen-doctor -o`? This happens always for me. After system go to sleep and wakes up, one of of the monitor is always dimmer and I am unable to change the brightness of that monitor.
- How is the monitor connected?
The faulty one is connected with DP and the other one is connected with HDMI.
- Has changing screen brightness via Plasma ever worked?
It works fine when I start my computer. After computer wakes up from sleep, it stops working for one of my monitors.
- Can you paste the output of `kscreen-doctor -o`?

Thanks. When this happens, what level of brightness does the screen get stuck on? By any chance is it 21%? It gets stuck at 27%. Thanks again for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to get to this yet. A lot of things have changed since then; can you still reproduce the issue with Plasma 6.3.5 or later and ddcutil 2.2.0 or later? ๐๐งน โ ๏ธ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
