This is not a BUG in kdenlive. This issue is very common in situations where apps of part of an app does not deliberately address the RTL issue for Arabic Urdu, Persian or Hebrew, as explained here: Unicode Characters: Adding special Unicode characters (Right-to-Left Embedding: U+202B) at the start of an RTL segment and Pop Directional Formatting (U+202C) at the end can "force" correct rendering in text-based subtitle formats (SRT, VTT). The python script from this Github https://github.com/NabiKAZ/RTL-subtitle fixes this. I wonder if it can be added to Kdenlive as a RTL option in Subtitles styles manager. Thank you so much Changed to Wish List |
Created attachment 172856 [details] bug Hey, can you fix the RTL problem on the subtitles. When writing/ importing arabic/ persian subs the caracters like commas, points etc. are are displayed inversed. RTL direction works fine with the Title tool. Thanks in advance,
