Hello,
Since I've ran the last Kate update, the application crashes on click on "Save" and "Open".

Kate  24.11.70
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

Thanks for the report.

Unfortunately it is very difficult for us to debug those crashes without a crash-dump. I assume that when those crashes happen, you get a crash reporting dialog? In that dialog, there should be instructions on how to install debug symbols and when those are installed, a way to send that crash-dump to Canonical (or here, I'm not sure)

Can you send the crash dump through that?

Unfortunately I don't get the ubuntu crash report dialog. I click on Open and Kate acts like I clicked on the X icon on the right to close the app...

Hmm... wait... what versions do you have? :)

Is that a self-compiled, snap, flatpack or appimage?

I seem to remember I've installed through snap (v24.11.70).

Ok, then that was likely the same issue as the other crash we had.
