Created attachment 172152 [details] A Screencast That Demonstrates How To Reproduce It In 6.1.3 SUMMARY If the user commences the process of choosing what to screencast, but cancel using the "Escape" key before they do, the wrong GUI is presented. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. ```sh spectacle --new-instance ``` 2. Select the "Recording" tab. 3. Select the "Rectangular Region" button. 4. Press the "Escape" key. 5. Select "Save as" in the toolbar. OBSERVED RESULT It invokes the preview pane and toolbar despite no media being present. EXPECTED RESULT It should revert to the new GUI without the preview pane. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.9.12-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 30.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 5700 Manufacturer: ASRock Product Name: X670E Taichi ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It's not particularly important, because the issue is evident to the user.
