STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Display Configuration KCM
2. set Color Profile combobox to "ICC Profile"
3. click on the button used to choose a .icc file in the file system and choose yours
4. click on "Apply" button - the icc color profile is applied as expected, click on "Keep" to confirm the change
5. remove the icc color profile by clicking on the "X" button beside the button used to choose the .icc file in the file system
6. apply the change

OBSERVED RESULT
the colors of the icc color profile are not active on the screen anymore, but apparently the .icc file remains active in someway, because on my system both bug 479755 and bug 477017 occur until I set the Color Profile combobox to "None" and then apply the change after the provided steps.

EXPECTED RESULT
deactivate the icc color profile completely after the provided steps

Can't reproduce on git master. Does this still happen for you in the latest release?

I can't reproduce on Plasma 6.2.4.
