Could you upload a video demonstrating the issue? Thanks! Also this might be BUG 481610. Created attachment 172254 [details]
mouse stutter video
It's a bit hard to notice, but it's around the 1 second mark. I'll try to get a better video soon. Can reproduce on wayland, git master -- if you look at the mouse it will stutter just after tiling/maximizing Thanks, guess I should have clarified a bit more about my setup, dual monitors at 144hz and running kwin wayland. Ran iotop -o and started dragging windows to quick tile them and fullscreen, looks like it's the same bug as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487043, so it's still not fixed? Moving my mounting my ~/.cache/kwin/qmlcache to tmpfs didnt help and might have made it worse. Got the same error with Plasma 6.2.1 on X11 - also happens when switching virtual desktops where one has a maximized screen. This still happens on 6.5.1, although it only happens the first time a window is launched/shows its tiling animation. Once the animation plays once (so it's cached I guess?) it doesn't happen again until you go to a new activity and launch/tile a new window. It is nowhere near as bothersome as it was before but still annoying. I'm using a Windows 7 Aero (Se7en Aero Window decorations, Expose Air Plasma Style, Breeze application style) theme with transparency, maybe that's part of the problem? |
