Actually, you can just start typing and it will go automatically into search mode. However, I am missing the ability to select emoji using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Definitely missing that from the 5.x emoji selector. Same here. After search for e.g. "grin" I'd like to select the one with the closed eyes & lots of teeth. At the moment I can use neither the arrow keys to select it, nor can I use tab to set the focus on the results pane. In earlier versions I could directly move selection while focus was still in the search bar, making selection very, very quick. Now I have to use the mouse, which really disrupts the typing flow. Arch Linux, package plasma-desktop 6.0.5-1 (In reply to Synthetic451 from comment #1) > Actually, you can just start typing and it will go automatically into search > mode. You're right; for some reason I made this overly complex when I tried to type this up, and items 2 and 3 can be removed from this report. I blame the lack of coffee ;) (In reply to Synthetic451 from comment #1) > Actually, you can just start typing and it will go automatically into search > mode. I blame the lack of coffee ;) This is the same issue as bug #491028 - which is later but simpler while being otherwise the same. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 491028 *** |
