Does this happen with any particular application? Or all of them? I don't think it depends on particular app. But I tried that now, and dialog opened up quickly. However, each time I tried before, it did freeze. And I edited different apps. I can't say for sure, but I have a feeling that it was freezing first time I did that in a session. Have you uninstalled Discover? If so this may be Bug 482154. Yes, I don't have discover installed because I don't use it. I don't care about handling appstream links but since an app for controling apps doesn't really seem to be related to autostart, I think lack of discover shouldn't cause issues like this. Also it's not set as required dependency for plasma (at least in arch and I believe in fedora too). This has nothing to do with Discover I can't reproduce this issue anymore, thus it probably shouldn't stay open.
