This sounds like graphical corruption. Are you able to reproduce it outside of a VM, or only within it? Does it happen on Wayland, X11, or both? This only happens in Wayland. I cannot test it on real hardware as I don't have a monitor with such a strange aspect ratio. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! The wallpaper does not turn black anymore, however the icons in the logout manager are still replaced by black squares. The wallpaper is only black if it is a .png file, if it is .jpg it works fine.
