It sounds like something in the database got corrupted. You can probably solve the problem by deleting the app data (which doesn't get reset if you reinstall). I'm not sure where the app data is exactly located on Windows but it's probably in "AppData" roaming or local profile. That should get you to restart the app. Then, concerning the crash, it sounds like it hit some kind of issue while pulling in the data needed to sync everything. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with the event viewer zip file. :) What might help is to start up Kasts from the commandline using "QT_LOGGING_RULES=org.kde.kasts.*=true kasts.exe" and then save the output and attach it to this ticket.
