Description not quite correct .. sorry. Having ibus running one can type as expected and switching inputs also works. But if I kill ibus, no input is accepted any more. Having switched ibus back on, input is still not accepted. Regardless of input method. (Ibus running idle consumes some CPU that I prefer to save for other tasks, that is why the killing) Hi, Kate and KWrite use exactly the same code, therefore this seems to be very strange.
