Hi, I can't reproduce this on my Linux build. Can you share the export options? Also, is the problem here that the thumbnail shows a checker board or is it other applications that are having the same problem (like for example: image viewer, web browser). This is only about how the image visually disappears after hitting Enter when done cropping. This has nothing to do with other applications, and no other applications have the same problem. If it's fixed by unchecking Preferences->Display->Use texture buffer, it's a duplicate of bug 398689 (a macOS-only bug).
