Can you reproduce this issue when opening ~/Desktop in Dolphin as well? Or only on the Plasma desktop? Created attachment 163486 [details]

Dolphin shows the personalized icons, but doesn't honor the preference. I've added a screenshot. I can't reproduce it in Plasma 6 and suspect that this has been fixed already by some of the other changes that made desktop file refreshing more reliable. Let's call it fixed, since unfortunately that change isn't easily backportable to Plasma 5--and let's face it: even if it was, Debian Stable would never take it as a patch or update to the new version anyway. Thank you anyway. It seems 6 is expected for the first months of the new year, I'll see if it's worth it moving to Debian testing. Plasma's working fine for me and looking great. |
