I dont understand what you mean with making background color ooptional. Something needs to be painted where no picture is, there would be something there even if we remove the option. The normal wallpaper has the same option. To me it sounds more like this is a latte problem with its "smart detection" when POTD is enabled. No it isn't https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445643 Yes it is. The wallpaper of plasmashell can be *anything* it doesnt have to be a static image. It can be changing pictures, it can be a video, there is a plugin to run shaders, there is one that's just a clock, etc... The problem is not the background color option, it is that latte does not know for every wallpaper plugin what the final image will look like. Did you follow the link to the old bug? It is all described there This can also be considered a duplicate. I didn’t find the old bug, because the title was changed. It would be great if it could be resolved for Plasma 6 :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 445643 *** Yes but it has nothing to do with background color in particular. It's a general problem for which you want a specalized solution only for slideshow. It was just the only thing you observe from a user perspective |
