Description Nicolas Fella 2023-10-04 14:56:30 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have floating panel on bottom of laptop screen
2. Connect external screen and place it above the laptop screen
3. Maximize a window on the laptop screen

OBSERVED RESULT
The panel is floating and overlaps the window

EXPECTED RESULT
The panel defloats and doesn't cover the window. This works fine without the external screen

Can reproduce.
Comment 3 Niccolò Venerandi 2023-11-26 18:30:29 UTC
Cannot reproduce with the same exact setup in Wayland :-/
Comment 4 Niccolò Venerandi 2023-11-26 18:31:03 UTC
I did change the logic a bit since this was reported, actually, this might've been fixed for good. Can you confirm that?
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2023-11-28 21:22:40 UTC
I can't reproduce it anymore, so let's call it fixed for now.
Comment 6 Maurizio Di Mambro 2023-12-02 10:56:58 UTC
I'm having the same issue, but it only happens when I unlock the screen after being away from my computer for some time. I also have two monitors, and I'm on plasma 5.90.0 on arch installed from the kde-unstable repo.
After some time, the shell crashes, reloads and everything is back to normal, but I don't know it's related.

Let me know if I should open a new issue for this, I didn't because I found this one already

Sounds like a different issue, yeah.
