Feature request (if not already on list)

As Plasma / Wayland breaks Simple Screen Recorder and other tools like Wayfarer or Kooha didn't for for whatever reason on my machine and OBS Studio is too bloat for a simple recording of an e. g. Websession SPACTACLE would be sufficient for that case - if it could record an audio device as well.

Would be perfect if thic can be implemented in the future.

I think supporting audio would be nice. We don't currently have a way to do that with the backends we have, AFAIK.

Spectacle is a superb tool. I think that adding audio would make it a simple but versatile solution for screenshots and quick video recording.

I was going to raise a request for this too.

There are no great tools for recording screen right now, in a way that I can create a hotkey for it and select a rectangle in a straightforward way.

Spectacle does exactly that, but unfortunately it doesn't record the system audio (or any audio at all).
