SUMMARY

Dolphin on KDE Neon, by default, doesn't show video thumbnails. The issue is resolved by installing ffmpegthumbs with "sudo apt install ffmpegthumbs" and enabling it in Dolphin.

Considering that KDE's own Wiki recommends shipping it by default, it makes sense it should be part of the Neon ISO as well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make a fresh install of Neon
2. Access a folder with videos with Dolphin

OBSERVED RESULT

No thumbnails are generated

EXPECTED RESULT

Thumbnails should be generated without having to resort to installing additional packages
