In System Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Background Services, is the "KScreen 2" service active? > is the "KScreen 2" service active?
The checkbox is checked and on the right it says "Running".
This is when the desktop is working after having restarted plasmashell.
Do you need me to check while observing the issue before I restart plasmashell?
Nah, it'll be active then too. Can you paste the output of `kscreen-doctor -o` before rebooting, then again after rebooting when the problem happens? I'd like to see if the output is identical in both cases, which would indicate an issue exclusively in Plasma.
