Plasma panel with 2 thunderbird icons

SUMMARY
***
Hello, I'm on Kubuntu 23.04 and Thuderbird in snap package can't be added to the panel.

1) Start Thunderbird from kickoff. The Thunderbird icon appears in the panel (because the app is open). I can add it to the panel right-clicking on it, but if I close Thunderbird and restart it from that icon the app is opened with a new empty profile.

2) Right-click on the Thunderbird entry in KickOff menu and select to add it to the panel. Thunderbird is correctly added to the panel and it start with the correct profile, but everytime I start it the icon on the panel is doubled. The first icon is the one I've added, the second icon is for the started application (see attached)

Operating System: Kubuntu 23.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 6.2.0-20-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

Is the menu item you're clicking on actually named "Add to Panel", or does it instead say, "Pin to Task Manager"?

Hello,
you are right... using "Pin" instead of "Add to panel" I get the expected behavior... sorry for the waste of time :-(
TBH I didn't even noticed these 2 options that are pretty similar but have different behaviors

Yep, this confuses a lot of people. See Bug 390817.
