If you position the mouse over one of them and hold down wither the Shift or Alt key and then scroll, does the list scroll? Shift doesn't work, but alt does (and there's also a scrollbar, which I somehow missed). Note that they're not sorted in any obvious order (by number, or by desktop). Ok, so the real problem here is that a vertical scroll doesn't scroll the view when it's only horizontally scrollable, which makes this bug report a duplicate of Bug 448504. If you'd like to follow up on other things, such as the order not being clear, please submit additional bug reports.
