(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kcmkamera
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.0.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-0.3mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-3mdkenterprise
OS/Compiler notes:

I have an Olympus C-3000Z camera and manually added this in Control Center Peripherals Digital Camera (while it was not connected). However if my camera is connected and switched on then opening the Digital Camera page also displays the Olympus C-2100UZ. I can delete the C-2100UZ but leaving the Digital Camera page (eg to the Keyboard page) and going back to Digital Camera page restores the C-2100UZ entry. If my camera is off only the C-3000Z appears so it seems an autodetect problem.

thats a harmless problem.

all the olympus cameras use the same USB IDs, so the autodetection always
uses the first one matching, which is the C-2100UZ.

You could leave out the manual addition of youir explicit model.

Is this is a problem for you?

Is this bug still present in a recent version of KDE, such as 3.5.8 or KDE 4.0 RC 2?
