Description jdl 2023-04-21 10:35:54 UTC
SUMMARY
Bright part / background element behind panel (especially top panel) de-floats before the panel itself. This produces a jarring effect.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate floating panel on top panel
2. open a window on one virtual desktop
3. switch between virtual desktops

OBSERVED RESULT
A bright "halo" around the outer parts of the top panel becomes visible, de-floating slightly ahead of the normally visible part of the panel.

EXPECTED RESULT
Visible parts and non-visible parts of the panel float and de-float in lock-step, providing a uniform and consistent appearance.

Can confirm.
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2024-08-28 13:36:38 UTC
Can't reproduce anymore in current git master, which will become Plasma 6.2 soon. Assuming it was fixed by the great floating panel refactor of 2024. :)
