Description Tyson Tan 2023-03-14 02:47:54 UTC
Many translations are missing in digiKam 7.9 and 7.10. These strings were updated for 7.9.

I have already 100% translated them into Simplified Chinese long ago, but they were never shown.

I have also checked the French and Spanish translation, their situations are the same.

I will attach screenshots in the following comments.

Tested on:
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 6.2.5-arch1-1 (64-bit)

Using the digiKam package from Archlinux's official repository.

Hi,

This is probably due to the non branching the Qt5-maintenance git branch used to release 7.x serie and using trunk translations.

Double check with 8.0.0 pre-release bundles if problem is reproducible :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/unstable/

Note : 7.x release is now closed. We are focused on next 8.0.0 release.

Thanks! The Windows version has all the translation, but the appimage has only English. Probably a packaging issue.

Ah it's strange as i see the i18n included in the bundle. I will take a look...

AppImage 7.10.0 and 8.0.0-beta1 includes well all the translations files :

Weird. When I was running it the first time, there was only English in the list.

Today I ran the same appimage , and it does have all the translations.

With digiKam 8.0.0 just release, the translations will be synchronized again with the translators workflow.

I close this file now.

Thank you, they were indeed fixed.
