STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the Effects pane
2. Notice strange display of the names of effects
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
In the names of effects, some letters are replaced by spaces, as in the screenshot that I uploaded.

EXPECTED RESULT
Effect names would appear properly, as in the Stable release.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: Ventura 13.2.1

Not only is the Effect tab showing missing letters. The timeline (and several other places I can't remember) also lacks letters. This happens with the AppImage version running on Fedora 36. However, the UI of the Flatpak version is fine.

Ah sorry, that should be Fedora 37...

I am now using the latest normal release, 23.04.2, on an updated macos OS, Ventura 13.4.1, and the problem has gone away. Thanks Apple, or thanks kdenlive developers :-)

@HymanZXC, has an update resolved the issue for you?

Hi HymanZXC -- has any recent update resolved this issue for you? I have just added a comment that the display is now good for me, with new versions of kdenlive and the macos OS. Jim Henderson

Hi Jim,

Thanks for letting me know. I just tried the latest version of both AppImage and Flatpak and can confirm that those UI issues have been fixed.
