Where did you check this? In System Settings or in Firefox itself?

Can you attach ~/.config/mimeapps.list when the system is in this state? I'm wondering if this is the same underlying issue as Bug 305136. I created some free space on my drive and tried the Arch installer, but it ran into some issue. If I remember I'll try again another time.
