I can confirm this on Fedora 37 with plasma desktop 5.27.1 and plasma 5.103. On systems using nvidia drivers the hang occurs but the keybaord/mouse is still functional in the sense that ctrl+alt+backspace restarts X11 to new sddm login screen. On systems not using
nvidia drivers (intel HD graphics on Lenovo laptop) the keyboard also dies and only the mouse moves on a black screen. Hard power on/off is required to restart.

PS: I am not sure this is kscreenlocker issue or not. Screen lock is working fine. This has been confirmed on multiple workstations and laptops.

The latest sddm git build for Fedora 37 resolved this problem...should be coming up in updates.

Indeed, see https://github.com/valve-project/xenon-valve/issues/1065.
