* I mistakenly typed the Expected and the Observed results in the place of one another. To be extra clear, these are the correct ones: OBSERVED RESULT Changing the default identity in the settings has no effect on the identity used for creating new emails. EXPECTED RESULT Changing the default identity should change the identity that is used for composing new emails. This bug also has a critical side effect: since it's no longer possible to send an email with a specific identity, encryption keys associated with that identity also cannot be used, which is a major problem. I tried manually typing my desired identity in the "From" box of the "New email" dialog, but KMail won't detect the identity and encryption keys defined for that identity in the way. This is the reason I thought I should mark the "severity" as "Major", since it affects and can completely stop the user from using any sort of cryptography (signing and encyrption). it works fine. Are you sure that in your folder config you didn't configure a specific identity ? |
