I find that using "Clear text" as an authentication method works. Although this still requires the user to put an "App Password" if 2-factor authentication is present. It would be nice to have the "Yahoo" authentication method alongside "Google" in the drop-down menu. Or, alternatively, one could call that entry XOAUTH2 (like it is in the SMTP part) and have KMail figure out which website to open. I think would be a great feature, I hope some devs will notice this bug.
