Sentry Crash Report:

Description Volker Kuhlmann 2022-11-06 23:05:31 UTC
SUMMARY
When I send an email, often a copy of it stays in outbox, even if is correctly saved into whatever was specified as sent-mail for that email. The email arrives at the recipient, so it is actually sent.
Of course it is much better to have two copies than none... but checking and deleting is getting tedious.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I haven't yet found the conditions under which it occurs. My suspicion is that it has something to do with whether the sending transport password is available, however it also occurs after a new login with sending though local sendmail. Does anyone have suggestions for what to check for?

OBSERVED RESULT
Sent mail is stored in the sent-mail folder as well as being left in the outbox folder.

EXPECTED RESULT
Sent mail is stored in the sent-mail folder only.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KMail Version 5.19.3 (21.12.3)
plasma5-workspace-5.24.4-bp154.2.3.1.x86_64
openSUSE Leap 15.4

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Volker Kuhlmann 2022-11-06 23:30:56 UTC
The number saved in X-KMail-Fcc: of the headers of the mail stored in sent-mail and outbox is the same as the one shown in folder-properties -> Internals -> Identifier of the sent-mail folder, when looking in akonadiconsole.
