STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add apps to the favorites list until it does not fit to your screen height
2. open Kicker
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
on Wayland> bottom of Kicker overlaps Plasma panel
on X11: overlaping icons on bottom of the favorites list
