After installing Gwenview thru snap (not apt) I cannot view images outside ~.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1a. double-click on an image outside /home/john
OR
1b. in Gwenview, navigate to /media

OBSERVED RESULT
1a. : Window popup Error - Gwenview with message "Could not enter folder /media/john/data/foto.". In the background in Gwenview: Loading '896796.jpg' failed (in a red rectangle with a red outline)
1b.: Window popup Error - Gwenview with message "Could not enter folder /media." In the background Gwenview is white, no message.

The image is shown

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When using apt to install Gwenview, it worked like expected. But I can't do that anymore because of unmet dependencies.

This is a snap packaging issue. It limits the locations that an app has access to.

Thanks Nate! No snaps for me anymore. With the latest updates I could install it via apt again, so I've got it working. Love this program!
