I noticed that if I go back to the Settings > Input devices > Touchpad after a reboot and activate activate "Tapping: Tap-to-click" ✔️ & "Two-finger tap: Middle-click (three-finger tap right-click) ✔️again and then press Apply the settings will get applied but both check boxes are visually immediately deactivated again. https://imgur.com/a/zSCikO0 Also as per this comment: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435113#c1 from @Nate Graham: So: - After rebooting my settings are not applied anymore. - When I apply them again ("Tapping: Tap-to-click" ✔️ & "Two-finger tap: Middle-click (three-finger tap right-click) ✔️) the settings work again in reality - although not visually. - When I enter `sudo udevadm trigger -s input` the settings immediately stop working again (as if I had restarted my system). So maybe I have two different problems: the `sudo udevadm trigger -s input` / reboot one and the one that in the same session after applying the settings they are immediately (visually only!) disabled again. > When I enter `sudo udevadm trigger -s input` the settings immediately stop working again (as if I had restarted my system). This is indeed a separate issue: Bug 414559. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 411114 *** Created attachment 151724 [details]
tap settings immateriality greyed out after applying
Thank you for your reply! > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 411114 *** I think this is what happens after a reboot, but what about the part that the settings get *immateriality* visually disabled after clicking apply and greyed out again? 411114 only talks about after sleep/wakeup etc... I added a small GIF as attachment (and uploaded it to imgur) showing this part of my bug report. https://imgur.com/a/IiU0Tuo |
