There's already an option to do that in the Digital Clock's settings window, should you prefer it that way. |
Created attachment 150411 [details] Date and time I don't see the need to save so much space with the clock + date. Currently they sit one on top of the other vertically. By default the icon taskbar view is used. Most users have a lot of free space in the panel. Just show the date and time in a horizontal fashion. Attachment is how I personally use it.
