SUMMARY
I have my picture archive on a network share which is mounted on boot. This works fine. In the AppImage Version of Digikam these files appear in the Picture Collection as expected. Since Ubuntu 22.04 LTS no longer supports AppImages out of the box I am trying to use the snap version, hence I discovered that the same network mount does not work in the snap version.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Mount a network share on boot via fstab (Samba Share via CIFS)
2.  Add mounted directory to picture collection in digikam

OBSERVED RESULT
The mounted directory appears to be empty.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expected to see my picture collection.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS - Gnome 42.0
Snap application - stable channel

Snap packages use a sandbox and are unusable for use with digiKam. Try configuring the sandbox rights. Say thank you to Ubuntu.
We no longer support Snap or Flatpak due to a variety of bugs.

The current developer AppImage digiKam-7.7.0 also runs under the current Ubuntu version.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately libfuse2 is no longer in Ubuntu 22.04 so no Appimages currently run..

The snap for digikam in the store appears to be "official" and supported by KDE. 
It even leads to KDE webpages under "contact the publisher" - here: https://snapcraft.io/publisher/kde

Digikam is great software. Thanks for your efforts and time to respond.

Just one example, that project "Kate" has already also withdrawn from Flatpak.

For the problematic with Hugin see Bug 453817, I hope Debian has fuse packages too.
